SECTION 1 – WHAT DO I DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you sign up for the email newsletter, I collect the personal information you give me such as your name and email address. This information will be kept strictly confidential at all times, and will not, under any circumstances, be shared with any outside third-party. It will only be used to send you the email newsletter you asked me for. If and when you unsubscribe from my newsletter, that information will be permanently discarded.
SECTION 2 – CONSENT
How do you get my consent?
When you provide me with personal information, I imply that you consent to me collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If I ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, I will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do I withdraw my consent?
If, after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for me to contact you, for the continued collection and use of your information, by contacting me, or by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any of my newsletters.
SECTION 3 – DISCLOSURE
I will have to disclose your personal information if I am required by law to do so, under the terms of a legal court order signed by a judge. However, I will seek legal advice first to ensure that I have no choice in the matter, and I will ensure you are immediately notified. The only time I would not be able to notify you is if I am served with a legal court order telling me not to tell you.
SECTION 4 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
In general, third-party providers used by me will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to me.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information I am required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, I recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or me. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada but the third-party provider is located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
